COVID-19 Update | Full Return of Elective Surgery in South Australia
The South Australian Government has announced that elective surgery will begin to be fully restored from 14 May 2020 with the lifting of the Appropriate Surgery Direction under the Emergency Management Declaration. It is projected that public hospitals will be able to restore elective surgery levels to full capacity by early to mid-June, as long as it remains safe to do so. Private hospitals have recommenced all elective surgery based on their priority assessments.
